EdPuzzle

Edpuzzle is an educational platform that allows teachers to turn any video into an interactive learning experience. By embedding questions, notes, and voiceovers into video content, Edpuzzle helps educators track student engagement and understanding in real time. Widely used in classrooms and remote learning environments, it empowers teachers to personalize instruction, make lessons more engaging, and gather meaningful data—all through video. The platform is used by millions of educators and students worldwide, across K–12, higher education, and professional development settings.

As a Team Leader at Edpuzzle, I oversee a team dedicated to creating explainer videos. I worked for 4 years in the English Language Arts department and now I've been working for the Professional Development area. My responsibilities include the creative direction of e-learning audiovisual projects in a remote, international work environment. I also contribute as an animator, designer, and illustrator.

One of my key responsibilities is developing animation templates to scale motion graphics projects efficiently. To achieve this, I apply programming skills and leverage Artificial Intelligence as a virtual assistant.

This role has allowed me to sharpen my project management and coordination skills in a dynamic, collaborative, and bilingual environment. My daily workflow involves meetings in both Spanish and English.

Character Design by Antonella Fant

Grammar

Grammar for primary school was our first big project. We worked toghether with the Content Design team to create the characters and styleguide for the project. Antonella Fant was our designer and came up with Sam and Spike, a teenage girl and her outer space friend who loves blenders and learning to speak in english!

Every new video, Sam teaches Spike about Adejectives, Adverbs, Conjunctions and so much more.

For this project my main role was as an animator. My responsibility was to create flexible rigs in After Effects and animate the characaters, compositions, backgrounds and lesson parts. Later my role evolved into Team Leader but I never stopped animating these lovely couple.

Once my role shifted to TL I started to get more involved into supervising Storyboards as well as all the designs and animations. I also started creating our first templated and standards for animation. This meant creating systems for storyboarding that were useful and easy to do for our writing team but also easy and fast to read for our video production team.

This project went on for several years and was one of our most beloved and challenging subjects to date.

Poetry

Poetry was a High School oriented project for English Language Arts subject. Teacher would write scripts explaining the history of the poet and all the literary devices they have used.

This project was very beatiful because we had a lot of liberty creating the visuals and animation for each poem, which responded to the theme and tone of each author.

My role in this project was as a Team Leader and Animator.

Dramas

Dramas was one of the most ambitious projects we faced. It meant creating videos that not only were faithful to the artistic vision of the play but also responded to the needs of the teachers who were going use these as a tool for learning.

For this project I was responsible for the creation of the styleguide and character/background design syle. I also leaded the animation and templetization of the project.
The list of dramas we created include:

12 Angry men, A Raisin in the Sun, Fences, Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Oedipus Rex, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, The Crucible.

The scale of this project was so big that we needed to expand, and brought in two illustrator from Chile, Paz Soffia and Mabel Alarcón, who are still creating amazing illustrations for other projects.

Dramas is part of a paid program now, but every play includes a free video, enjoy!
