Project: Music video, single cover, and promotional assets for Argentine guitarist Any Riwer's debut EP, featuring Cory Wong. The concept was a video-game-style taco-eating journey through Mexico City, reflecting their real-life meeting. Executed in collaboration with Santiago Casas.
Character Design & Visual Art Direction
As the Art Director and Character Designer, I was responsible for defining the visual language of the project. The brief was to translate the vibrant, collaborative energy of the artists into a cohesive, video-game aesthetic.
I developed the final, stylized character designs for both Any Riwer and Cory Wong, ensuring they were instantly recognizable yet adaptable for rigging before animation begun.
Santiago Casas then animated the characters eating their way through the city.
Storyboarding and Pre-Production
I managed the project's pre-production phase to establish the narrative flow and timing.
I created the full storyboard for the music video, translating the concept into concrete visual sequences timed to the music.
I then produced the animatic—a timed reel using the storyboard and audio. This critical step confirmed pacing and shot lists, ensuring efficiency and securing final approval before starting the main animation work.
